Thanks for coming to the City Market Beer Fest

Thanks a lot, Kansas City — you drank us dry.
No, really, thanks to the thousands of you who came out for our first City Market Beer Festival. We also want to thank all of our partners — the breweries, distributors, volunteers, food trucks, clean-up crew, City Market organizers, etc. — for all of your hard work. It was a long — admittedly too long — day, and we cannot say “thank you” enough for your time and hard work.
To those who didn’t get in, we’re really sorry. First-year events are rarely perfect, and we’ll be the first to admit that this year’s fest had issues. We hit capacity for the park around 1:30 p.m. and had to stop selling tickets, which, believe us, was hard to do. About an hour later, we were able to reopen ticket sales as more people cycled out. To those of you who commented on the Facebook event page and tweeted us emojis, we hear you, and we’re taking your comments — good and bad — to heart.
We’ve already begun discussing how we can do it better, because we really want to get this right. So we want to hear your constructive criticism. Let us know what we did right and wrong. And thanks again for coming. We’re looking forward to doing this again next year.
