Missouri AG Chris Koster sues Farmington bar owner for dumping raw sewage near the St. Francis River

Rum Runners is a drinking establishment in Farmington, Missouri, and judging from its MySpace page, the patrons there love motorcycles, boating, and pants that let their ass cracks “breathe.”

The bar’s owner, Matt Grisham, is in trouble for more serious harm than the sin committed against my eyes — Missouri’s Attorney General Chris Koster is suing him for allegedly violating the state’s Clean Water law.

Koster alleges that the state’s clean water program, through the Department of Natural Resources,

issued Grisham a permit that allowed him to use four sewage holding

tanks for the business’ waste for one year, during which time Grisham

was to construct a wastewater treatment facility. The temporary holding

tanks are only permitted to be emptied by a licensed septic tank hauler

who would pump out the waste and take it to a proper facility for

disposal.

But a March inspection by DNR showed that Grisham

was emptying the septic tanks the good ol’ boy way
