Charlie Weis is coming to Kansas City

Ex-Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis is taking over the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that it’ll be official within the next day or two. Weis wouldn’t confirm the hire, saying, “Until the deal is done, I really can’t say anything.”
Weis has ties to Chiefs head coach Todd Haley and general manager Scott Pioli. Haley and Weis shared an office as assistant coaches with the New York Jets, and Weis ran the New England Patriots Super Bowl champion offense while Pioli was vice president of player personnel with the Pats.
Now if Pioli can reel in ex-Cleveland Browns coach Romeo Crennel, the dream coordinator tag team immortalized in this post by The Onion will become a reality.
