Man shot, killed in 1500 block of Belmont. Suspect flees in gold Dodge Caravan

A shooting Monday afternoon in the 1500 block of Belmont ended with a Hispanic man in his late teens dead.

Witnesses told police that the shooting victim was arguing with another man in the street around 3:22 p.m. when the suspect (described as a Hispanic man in his twenties) shot the victim and fled in a gold Dodge Caravan.

The shooting victim died at a local hospital. Kansas City, Missouri’s homicide count is now at 44 for 2010.
