Comment of the Day: Guns for everyone!

Guns on college campuses was a hot topic this week after Kansas state Rep. Forrest Knox said he’d fight to get a concealed-carry law for college campuses in the Sunflower State. This brought out a chorus of commenters with fantasies about taking down a school shooter.
For one commenter, a Biff Malibu, government-controlled concealed-carry laws are a bad idea because Biff argues that anyone who wants to pack heat should be able to do so. Here are Biff’s full, unedited thoughts:
We all know that the Pitch is an entertainment rag, not a journalistic
publication in anyway. Given that, it is surprising that they would
broach such a subject, but then again, after reading the article it’s
obvious this slanted, biased piece is little more than gastric release
by your typical bloated lefty, elitist, authoritarian.
The armed
citizen is a deterrent to crime and an asset to law enforcement. That
is easily demonstrated. What we need to do is to move beyond
regulation; licensing, restrictions and taxation on those who wish to
carry firearms for the defense of self and others. Kansas needs real
Constitutional Carry, as do all fifty states. There should be no
licensing, no fees, no registration, no inference from the government
in any way. If you choose to carry openly or concealed, so be it. It
is your inalienable right as a human being to possess and to carry the
tools of personal protection where ever you go.
Can’t wait to see which legislator takes up this cause.
