Burlesque at the Folly and four more things to do this weekend

1. Philosophize — or, rather, consider the relevance of some on-stage philosophizing. Plenty of it goes on in the script for Thom Pain (Based on Nothing), the show now happening at the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre.

2. Marvel at rare rock footage. Over the years, rock historian Bill Daniel captured some crazy pics and vids from underground to superstar acts like the Beatles. His stuff’s on display at Wonder Fair: Art Gallery and How in Lawrence. There’s an opening reception tonight.
