Robber shoots woman in the stomach while stealing her neighbor’s purse

Kansas City’s streets are a scary place where you can make a trip to Walmart, come home and get shot in the stomach by a stranger attempting to rob your neighbor. 

Two women made the a grocery run at the big box retailer last night and came home to find a strange man walking behind homes in the 7800 block of East 88th Street. The Star reported that the women didn’t think much of a stranger wandering around one their homes — until he pulled out a gun and demanded money.
