Just in time for Christmas … $3-a-gallon gas

The Grinch is hexing transportation, with gas prices expected to hit $3 a gallon by Christmas. I can already feel anger rippling down my back. Right now, Kansas City’s average price at the pump is hovering around $2.78, according to KMBC Channel 9. That’s a nickel higher than Monday’s price, and 15 cents higher than last week.

The price will only go higher as the holidays get closer, putting more fat wads of bills in the pockets of gas companies and fewer presents under trees. No industry has more people with hearts three sizes too small. And what can we do about it? Nothing. We’ll bitch, and we’ll pay it. Oil companies, please do us all a favor and go fuck yourselves.
