A few reasons not to panic about Kansas hunters using silencers

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is considering a bill that easily passed the state Legislature last month which would allow hunters to use silencers (gun advocates say the term ‘suppressors’ is more accurate) on their firearms. The bill also allows people with licenses to carry concealed weapons with them while hunting, which previously wasn’t legal.
Now, we know that sounds crazy scary, like thousands of Remington-toting, James Bond wannabes roaming the state shooting deer and possibly each other with eerily silent shots, with Glocks hidden underneath their blaze-orange tuxedos. But let’s not panic. It sounds like this is not a gun law to be getting all upset about.
