Wayne Huston, youth pastor, accused of kissing and fondling 14-year-old girl, sentenced to 31 months in prison

Overland Park youth pastor Wayne Lee Huston was sentenced to 31 months in prison without the chance of probation after being accused in January of

indecent liberties with a child for allegedly kissing and fondling a

14-year-old girl.

Huston, 45, will have to register as a sex offender when he is released.

Huston is a former youth pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church

where he allegedly had the inappropriate relationship with the young girl.

The girl’s mother discovered inappropriate text messages

on the girl’s phone and called the Kansas Department of Social and

Rehabilitation Services.
