Lawrence shops stuck with presumptive Kansas Final Four T-shirts

Jayhawk fans don’t need another reminder that they didn’t make the Final Four after getting whooped by VCU. It’s even more painful for a couple of Lawrence apparel stores — Jayhawk Spirit and Jock’s Nitch — that are stuck with hundreds of pre-ordered T-shirts celebrating a Final Four berth that never happened, according to the University Daily Kansan.

Jayhawk Spirit owner Tom Wilkerson told the UDK that his store’s shirts are in a warehouse awaiting mass destruction or donation to an aid organization and shipment to a far-off land. (Wilkerson’s contract with Adidas requires that the shirts be destroyed or shipped outside the United States.)
