Mama’s 39th Street Diner caught fire overnight

Fire tore through Mama’s 39th Street Diner early this morning, and the blaze was so bad that firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof to let the heat escape.
The fire broke out around 12:45 a.m., filling the diner with high pressure smoke that had firefighters fearing a “flash-bang,” according to KSHB Channel 41.
Mama’s was closed at the time of the fire. However, the neighboring Missie B’s was open but escaped without damage.
