Kansas City, you taste good today. This evening, food lovers in and around the city gather at the Power & Light District’s KC Live block (13th Street and Grand) for The Pitch’s Taste of KC. Attendees sample food and drinks from more than 20 Kansas City restaurants and liquor vendors, including Dolce Baking Company, Waldo Pizza and Edokko. Munch on tasty local food and throw back a few cocktails by local liquor slingers, then watch six KC chefs compete for the coveted Gold Fork Award. Tickets cost $35 in advance ($40 at the door), and the event runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Get VIP treatment (5 p.m. early entry and a goodie bag) by adding $10 to your ticket price.
