KCTV5 investigates how Frank Nigro died inside an ambulance without the EMTs knowing

KCTV5 unveiled its big sweeps investigative piece last night about Frank Nigro. While being transferred from St. Luke’s Northland to St. Luke’s on the Plaza, Nigro died in a Kansas City Fire Department ambulance without the EMTs knowing.

The TV station’s top investigative reporter, Dana Wright, tried to get to the bottom of how a guy could be dead for up to 41 minutes in an ambulance without anyone noticing. But the KCFD stonewalled her, denying a string of

open-records requests.
