Minivan with children inside stolen; man arrested, kids returned and mother may face charges

If you leave your car unlocked and running, thieves likely are going to to take it — even if your kids are still in the car. A 24-year-old mother found this out after leaving her 3-year-old and 11-month-old inside a running minivan while she shopped in a Grandview store, Fox 4 reported.

The mom walked out of the store to see her minivan driving off, which had to be a horrifying experience. The minivan was found about 30 minutes later along Highway 71 with the children inside. The suspected thief probably realized he had a whole lot more trouble on his hands than he expected and bailed.
