Kevin Funderburk — attempted rapist knocked out with a frying pan — gets 21 years

After being thumped on the head with a frying pan, all-around terrible person Kevin Funderburk got the book thrown at him. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison last week for attempting to rape a 71-year-old woman in her home in December, the Hutchinson News reports.

Back in December, Funderburk told the woman that he was homeless and looking for a place to sleep and warm up. Then he tried to assault her. But the victim wasn’t having it. At the time, Hutchinson police Sgt. John Moore described it to

the Hutch News this way: “She beat him down with a frying pan.” He was unconscious when police arrived on the scene.
