One of the restaurants featured in this week’s Pitch round-up of cheap restaurants, Steal Plates, is Little Richard’s Family Restaurant in Independence. Owner Richard Cash is proud of his diner’s baked goods (including the city’s largest cinnamon roll, which looks more like a Prada bag than a pastry) and the biggest deep-fried pork-tenderloin sandwich in the metro. It’s such an enormous sandwich that Cash and his staff have issued an interesting challenge to this restaurant’s patrons.
