Randy Lande blames ‘sexomnia’ in the rape of an 8-year-old Independence girl

Registered sex offender Randy Lande is claiming that he didn’t knowingly rape an 8-year-old Independence girl. Lande’s son shared jailhouse letters from his father with Fox 4. In the letters, Lande blames “sexomnia” for the sexual assault.

Lande’s son, Corey, told the TV station that his father’s sexomnia defense is “just another way for him to put off the blame and responsibility for things he’s done.”

Randy Lande, 45, was charged in February with one count of forcible rape, five counts of forcible sodomy and one count of kidnapping. The girl was so badly injured that she required surgery. In an interview with police, Lande admitted “fondling” the girl.
