Jesse Thorson of the Slow Death on the band’s upcoming album, ‘Born Ugly Got Worse’

Much like fellow Minnesotans Dillinger Four and Off With Their Heads, Minneapolis’ the Slow Death rocks out rough-edged, gravel-voiced punk rock with a catchy pop edge. The foursome, born from the remnants of Jesse Thorson and the Falling Angels, released a combination 7-inch and comic book on Silver Sprocket earlier this year, and has a new full-length due out later this fall. They play the Replay this Friday, September 9, with Joplin punkabilly rebels Brutally Frank. We spoke with Slow Death frontman Jesse Thorson via e-mail about the band’s recent releases.
