A weekend at the Walnut Valley Festival

The Walnut Valley Festival (most people just call it “Winfield”) is a camping and folk music festival in southern Kansas. It turned 40 years old this year, and its biggest attribute is that it is basically customizable, and thus appeals to a wide variety of ages and dispositions. Some brave (and dirty) souls camp for a week; most just come in for the weekend. Some come for the competitions, others to play music with friends. Many just come to listen to some bluegrass and get as drunk as possible. Arrange your schedule as you will.
