Former Mizzou running back Derrick Washington guilty of sexual assault
Former Mizzou star running back and Raymore prep standout Derrick Washington was found guilty of deviate sexual assault by a jury in Columbia yesterday. Washington has been charged with entering a woman’s bedroom in June 2010 and having sexual contact with her without consent.
The victim and her roommate at the time had both been tutors for Mizzou athletes. During the trial, the victim testified that Washington entered her room and began touching her while she slept. When he realized that she was awake, Washington left the room. The roommate testified that Washington told her that he had touched the victim and made a crass joke about the contact.
