Todd Haley and Matt Cassel get into a sideline spat during Sunday’s Chiefs victory

The Chiefs won their first game of the season Sunday, defeating the Minnesota Vikings 22-17 at Arrowhead. But it the game wasn’t without controversy. Kansas City coach Todd Haley and Matt Cassel got into a heated argument on the sideline after Cassel spiked the ball on a third down to force another field goal. The argument turned motivational as Cassel completed a 52-yard fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Dwayne Bowe.

“It’s just part of the game,” Cassel later told reporters of his sideline spat with Haley. “You hug, you make up, you do high-fives and you just move on to the next play. It’s part of football.”
