Most honest student in America pays $30 for textbook on Amazon and receives $400 worth of cocaine

If you’ve read The Pitch cover story this week, you know that use of black tar heroin from Mexico is spiking in the Kansas City area. But there’s also news that people who sell used textbooks on Amazon are shipping drugs to the area.
Sophia Stockton, a student at MidAmerica Nazarene University, ordered a used textbook about terrorism from an Amazon user. When the book arrived, she flipped through the pages and “a little tiny package falls out with white powder in it,” according to Fox 4. Demonstrating that she pays attention to lectures, Stockton told the TV station: “In class we talked about people sending bombs in the mail, and I thought of, you know, they send anthrax in the mail, too.”
Stockton took the baggie to the local police, and officers asked her if she had ordered cocaine (not an advised study aid) with the book. “I was like, ‘no,’ ” she told them. Good answer.
Police valued the cocaine at $300-$400.
