MAW set to reveal ‘Pit of Desire’ at the Replay this evening

It’s hard not to support a band like MAW. The five-piece, woman-powered band packs a sweet and somewhat unsettling rootsy, Americana punch. The strictly string band has performed together (originals and covers) ‘round one condenser mic since 2006, and the band’s first CD was released in 2009. Now, the women of MAW are fixing to release a new album, Pit of Desire.

On Friday, early evening, you can catch MAW’s all-ages CD-release show at the Replay at 6 p.m. The new CD will go for $10. We recently spoke with band member Katie Conrad (vocals, mandolin).
