Why Kansas City was the key to the Angels signing Albert Pujols
When the Royals and Cardinals have gotten together on the field recently, the scoreboard has not always been kind to the hometown team. But off the field, Kansas City may have hit St. Louis where it hurts the most.
First, it was a collision with Wilson Betemit that left star first baseman Albert Pujols with a fractured left wrist following a game last July at Busch Stadium. And now without bidding a single dollar, Kansas City could be the reason that Pujols will be wearing a Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim jersey this season.
