DeQuan Hawkins accused of killing 16-year-old Shalonda Jackson

Family members of Shalonda Jackson told detectives that she had been receiving threats on Facebook from a man named “Quan-Quan.”
Detectives tracked down a Facebook page for “Quanquan Fiveone,” who they say is 20-year-old DeQuan Hawkins. Authorities believe Hawkins shot and killed Jackson at a convenience store at 3201 East 51st Street. Jackson’s body was found in the doorway to the store last Wednesday afternoon.
A clerk at the store identified Hawkins for authorities. The clerk told detectives that Jackson said, “I ain’t no punk” or “I ain’t scared,” to Hawkins before leaving the store.
Prosecutors have charged Hawkins with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Prosecuotrs are seeking a $250,000 cash bond for Hawkins.
