21-year-old man shot to death in the 8600 block of Thompson. Suspect in custody

Kansas City, Missouri, recorded another homicide this afternoon.

A 21-year-old man was shot to death in the 8600 block of Thompson around 1 p.m.

The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police that the shooting victim and a 41-year-old man were engaged in an argument, which police believe was over the victim damaging the suspect’s property. The suspect then shot the victim.

Police arrested the alleged shooter without incident in the 8600 block of Roberts.
