18-year-old Ieisha Byers shot and killed Saturday night; 15-year-old arrested at the scene
Lots of talk about violence over the weekend. The most disturbing may be the shooting death of 18-year-old Ieisha Byers Saturday night — and the arrest of a 15-year-old boy.
Police were called to the shooting in the 11600 block of Richmond at 8 p.m. Byers was dead when they arrived. The name of the teen suspect hasn’t been released.
Police are also investigating the shooting death of 20-year-old Ricardo Garcia, whose body was found inside a home in the Northeast near the intersection of North Brighton and Norledge avenues, the Star reported. Officers found the man’s body around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
