It’s tough enough for a small business to stay afloat in these economic times, let alone try to pull aboard other community groups. But that’s the way The Wheel Cyclery rolls. To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the Northland bicycle shop (5126 Northeast Antioch Road, 816-455-2453) is unveiling a new logo with a new outlook that puts civic involvement and environmental sustainability at the heart of its business model. That’s why the party today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. will feature more than discounts, food and drinks. Exhibitors from groups such as Bridging the Gap will be on hand, and 10 percent of T-shirt sales will go to Northland Neighborhoods, Inc.
