13-year-old boy admits killing his mother and stepfather, Rachel and Jaeson Duncan

The boy was only 12 when he shot and killed his mother, 35-year-old Rachel Duncan, and stepfather, 31-year-old Jaeson Duncan, at the family’s mobile home in Kaiser, Missouri, in July.

The boy, now 13, admitted shooting his parents yesterday, the Associated Press reported. Judge Kenneth Hayden ruled that the boy won’t be tried as an adult (which is always on the table in Missouri) and should remain in the custody of the state’s Division of Youth Services

indefinitely.
