Tea partiers burn effigy of Russ Carnahan

It was an ugly weekend. Members of the Black Political Caucus, including Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II, a minister, were called racial slurs. Cleaver was spit on. Rep. Barney Frank was called a “faggot.” And outside of Congressman Russ Carnahan‘s St. Louis office, tea partiers threw boots at a picture of Carnahan taped to a garbage can, including a young boy who a woman goaded on, “Come on, get him in the nose.”

They didn’t stop there. They ended up burning Carnahan’s photo. See the video after the jump.
