Metropolitan Community College Pioneer Campus put on lockdown after shooting

This morning, Metropolitan Community College’s Pioneer Campus was placed on lockdown while police investigated a shooting that happened nearby.

KMBC reports that around 8 a.m., one man was shot at 24th Street and Drury Avenue. The suspects fled in a stolen white vehicle while police chased it to 18th Street and Benton, where the car crashed into a taxi cab. The suspects ditched the car and ran.
